you've got no chance for life unless connected to this machine if the plug is pulled you will cease living on ignored as hopeless doctors pass you by but you have to live on all the while craving death as you watch the moving clock you know it's time to get up but your body won't respond repressed by an injection screaming in total silence your vocal chords are now removed science forgetting the human factor and you're left craving death ever awaiting the fateful day when the plug's forever pulled you will be but crumbling bones when the medicine's done with you begging pleading for anyone to save your worthless life in this darkness you're so alone craving death that comes too slow you had no chance for life your body lies in the grave no one mourns your death now forgetting you ever existed your friends and family live on hating that you even lived people change the subject whenever you are mentioned they leave the past behind even though they feel the loss they try their best to hide it not a tear was ever shed (lyrics by Mike Stovicek)

taking the future for granted while it fades away fleeting consumer society abuses the here and now self important feeble lives lethargic and unwilling to change come to an irreversible end lives snuffed out like candles left in the wind never to know never to prepare for the time that is soon to pass no second chance alive today realize you are dying and will be gone forever tomorrow the human race a race of death the law for life kill or be killed a fallen species destined to die we are all apart of the tragedy that is humanity desire to supercede puts us above none our quest for knowledge leaves us dumb empty shallow lives struggling to survive doomed to fail as death lurks beyond the horizon knowledge is nothing the laws of science are false pleasure is pain life is death what is now is what was meant to be all that is certain is the inevitability of the end taking the future for granted while it fades away fleeting consumer society abuses the here and now self important feeble lives lethargic and unwilling to change come to an irreversible end lives snuffed out like candles left in the wind never to know never to prepare for the time that is soon to pass no second chance alive today realize you are dying and will be gone forever tomorrow the human race a race of death the law for life kill or be killed a fallen species destined to die we are all apart of the tragedy that is humanity the earth was once without us and so will it be once more when the race has ended and we are no longer all that will remain is a scarred memorial the planet earth in remembrance of our self centered lives knowledge is nothing the laws of science are false pleasure is pain life is death what is now is what was meant to be all that is certain is the inevitability of the end self important feeble lives lethargic and unwilling to change come to an irreversible end no second chance alive today realize you are dying and will be gone forever tomorrow (lyrics by Sean Echevarria)

what leads me to do the things I do a programmed machine conditioned by society my mind is nothing more than a repository for the creed of the polis searching asking questions there are no answers only opinions struggling to destroy boundaries are they society's or self imposed will there ever be an end to the crippling psychotic warfare that riddles my being and shreds my soul why this feeling of anxiety uncertain anguish absence of existence tormented by thought coming to grips with the nothingness of being embarrassed at the lessening of the self nonbeing the key to finitude nothingness the object of dread death the path to freedom but I am much too late sounds of laughter from the unknown creep into my head filling it with insanity meaningless images jam thought processes the more want of sleep the less able to fall away psychotic intentions subdued only by frustration sinking in the abyss living absence of existence (lyrics by Sean Echevarria)

Recalcitrance Arlington, Virginia

Washington, DC area band Recalcitrance began as a 5 piece hyper frenzy of thrash in 1989. It slowly devolved into an instrumental space slop trio. Recalcitrance disbanded in June 1996. We hope to dig up the final studio session recordings from May 1996 at some point. ... more
